Tinubu Storms Adamawa Monday, Commissions Landmark Projects

President Bola Tinubu will on Monday, February 16, 2026, undertake a one-day official visit to Adamawa State to inaugurate key infrastructure and institutional projects executed by the state government.

The visit, announced on Sunday, February 15, 2026, comes less than 48 hours after the President concluded a similar official engagement in Kebbi State, reflecting continued federal attention to sub-national development and public infrastructure expansion.

During the visit, the President is scheduled to commission several completed projects across critical sectors including transportation, education, governance and justice administration.

Among the flagship projects billed for inauguration in Yola and Jimeta is the newly completed eight-lane Galadima Aminu Road linking Gimba with the state capital, a project aimed at improving traffic flow and strengthening urban connectivity.

Also slated for commissioning is a newly constructed model school comprising pre-primary, primary and junior secondary sections, designed to expand access to quality basic education.

Other projects include a new multipurpose hall, the remodelled High Court complex, a newly built officers’ complex, and the renovated Government House.

The President is expected to hold meetings with senior government officials, traditional rulers and community leaders, and interact with residents during the visit before returning to Abuja at the conclusion of his engagements.

The development was confirmed in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who noted that the visit underscores ongoing collaboration between the federal and state governments to strengthen infrastructure and public institutions.
