Fubara Warns Chief Of Staff Against Unauthorized Political Meetings

Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, has issued a stern warning to his newly appointed Chief of Staff, declaring that any involvement in political meetings without his express approval would attract immediate dismissal.

The governor delivered the directive on Thursday during the swearing-in ceremony of the new Secretary to the State Government, Dogogo Wokoma, and the Chief of Staff, Sunny Ewule, held at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House.

Speaking at the ceremony, Fubara stressed the need for discipline and alignment within his administration, noting that unauthorized political engagements could undermine ongoing efforts to sustain peace, stability, and development across the state.ù

reiterated that his government remains committed to prioritizing governance over political distractions, adding that all key officials must operate strictly within established guidelines to promote unity and progress.

The governor also tasked the new Secretary to the State Government with deploying his extensive academic and administrative experience to strengthen policy coordination and improve service delivery within the administration.

In addition, Fubara directed Permanent Secretaries approaching retirement to begin preparations for a smooth transition by compiling comprehensive handover notes, aimed at ensuring continuity in government operations.
