National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, has called on the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, to debate with him on national television.
Abdullahi made the challenge on Friday during an appearance on Channels Television’s ‘The Morning Brief’.
He spoke on the 2027 general elections, warning that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is preparing to rig the polls.
He insisted that the opposition will not be silenced.
Abdullahi said, “If you can get Bayo Onanuga to come on TV to debate this with me, I will be ready to debate. Not just reading his statement. Let him come and debate this with me. Let us sit down and face each other and let him show us how this Electoral Act that they have passed will improve the transparency and the credibility of the election.

“What you see about this APC government is that they seem to be irritated that there is opposition at all. The response you get from them is, who are these people asking us questions? They would rather nobody ask questions. They would rather nobody challenge them.
“You can see the kind of language they use, the kind of insulting and degrading language they use. I was reading the statement released by the APC National Public Secretary, Felix Morka and I was wondering. We have children for God’s sake. What are we teaching them?”
