FULL LIST: Tinubu Posts 65 Ambassadors: Omokri To Mexico, Yakubu To Qatar 

President Bola Tinubu has assigned diplomatic postings to 65 ambassadors whose nominations the Senate confirmed in December, directing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to begin their induction immediately.

The postings, announced on Friday, March 6, in a statement by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, include both career diplomats and political appointees who will represent Nigeria in countries across the world.

Among the high-profile non-career appointees, former INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu will head to Qatar, former presidential aide Reno Omokri will serve as ambassador to Mexico,

Ex-Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has been assigned to Germany, and Senator Jimoh Ibrahim from Ondo South will take up the role of Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

Other prominent figures on the list include Ita Enang, who will represent Nigeria in South Africa, former Abia Governor Ikpeazu Victor, posted to Spain, and Lateef Kayode Are, assigned to the United States.

Isaak Folorunso Adewole will serve in Ottawa, Canada, while Ayodele Oke has been posted to France. Yakubu N. Gambo will represent Nigeria in Saudi Arabia, and Nora Ladi Daduut will head to Seoul, South Korea.

On the career diplomats‘ side, Ahmed Mohammed Monguno will serve in Cairo, Egypt, Abdussalam Habu Zayyad in Dakar, Senegal, and Shehu Ilu Barde in Accra, Ghana. Aminu Nasir has been assigned to Ethiopia.

Other career postings include Muhammad Saidu Dahiru to New Delhi, India, Ruben Abimbola Samuel to Rome, Italy, Ayeni Adebayo Emmanuel to Brussels, Belgium, and Danladi Yakubu Nyaku to Khartoum, Sudan.
