The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo, has extended warm greetings to Muslims nationwide on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fast.
In a statement issued on Thursday, March 19, the First Lady called on Nigerians to embrace unity and love, stressing that the significance of Eid-el-Fitr lies in its message of sacrifice, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
Nonye Soludo, who also founded the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, described the festival as a period of spiritual renewal and gratitude to Allah.
She noted that the celebration strengthens social bonds through communal prayers, acts of charity, family visits, and gift-giving, all of which promote generosity, unity, and joy.
She said, “Ramadan Kareem to the Muslim Ummah in Anambra State and all the faithful across the country celebrating this important feast.

“Eid-el-Fitr reminds us that love, sacrifice and tolerance remain the greatest foundations of harmony and mutual coexistence.

Let love, kindness and oneness lead. Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones.”
The First Lady also recently honoured mothers across Nigeria, describing motherhood as a “divine responsibility” deserving of constant recognition.
In a message commemorating Mothering Sunday observed globally on March 15, she stated that no material gift or gesture can truly match the value of motherhood.
