Osimhen Undergoes Successful Surgery After Injury In Liverpool Clash

Victor Osimhen has successfully undergone surgery following the injury he sustained during UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash between Galatasaray and Liverpool FC.

The Nigerian striker picked up the injury in the second-leg encounter at Anfield after an aerial collision with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté.

Despite the impact, Osimhen initially showed determination to continue, playing on with his arm heavily bandaged before being withdrawn at halftime due to worsening pain and swelling.

Galatasaray went on to suffer a 4-0 defeat on the night, crashing out of the competition with a 4-1 aggregate loss.

Confirming the development, the club announced that the forward underwent a successful surgical procedure on Monday at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital.
