The University of Benin has named Bimpe Omoyiwola as its 10th substantive registrar, marking a new administrative transition at the institution.
The announcement was made on Wednesday in Benin through a statement released by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Benedicta Ehanire.
Omoyiwola is set to take over from the outgoing registrar, Ademola Bobola, whose five-year tenure will conclude on March 31. She is scheduled to officially assume her new role on April 1.
According to the statement, Omoyiwola hails from Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State. She holds a Master’s degree in International History and Diplomacy from the University of Benin, in addition to other postgraduate qualifications.

Ehanire further noted that the incoming registrar is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria and brings considerable administrative expertise to the position.
Before her appointment, Omoyiwola served as Director (Registry) at the College of Postgraduate Studies within the university.
