Israeli Strike Hits Al Araby Office In Tehran, Disrupts Broadcast

A reported Israeli missile strike has damaged the Tehran office of Qatari-based broadcaster Al Araby TV, forcing the station to suspend live transmission.

The network disclosed the development on Sunday via a post on X, stating that its building in the Iranian capital, Tehran, was struck, leaving the facility heavily damaged.

Footage shared by the outlet showed shattered windows, scattered debris, and significant structural impact within the premises, while scenes from outside revealed destruction extending to nearby buildings and streets littered with rubble.

The bureau chief of the station in Tehran, Hazem Kallas, said he was delivering a live report when the strike occurred.

He later released a video showing the four-storey structure with visible damage, particularly on the lower floors.

Kallas noted that the affected building is located in a mixed-use neighbourhood, housing not only the media office but also a physiotherapy centre, a beauty salon, a dental clinic, and a café.

Details surrounding the specific target of the strike remain unclear.

The incident comes amid escalating hostilities following the outbreak of conflict on February 28, when Israel and the United States reportedly launched coordinated attacks on Iran, triggering a broader regional crisis.

Earlier in March, RT also reported damage to its office in northern Tehran after a similar strike in the area.

The latest development highlights the growing risks faced by media organisations operating within conflict zones, as the situation across the Middle East continues to deteriorate.
