The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has urged Nigerians to uphold tolerance and peaceful coexistence as Christians nationwide celebrate Easter.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, the society said the Easter season provides an opportunity for reflection on shared values and a chance to strengthen national unity amid ongoing challenges.
Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, National President of the society, called on citizens to use the period to promote understanding and compassion across religious and cultural lines.
The message, signed by the society’s National Publicity Secretary, Sola Hassan, highlighted Easter as a period symbolising sacrifice, renewal, and hope.
According to Kazeem, the season is an occasion to reflect on values that unite Nigerians as one people.
“At a time when the nation faces various social and economic challenges, the enduring virtues of compassion, patience, and selflessness remain vital for national progress and collective well-being,” he said.

The president also expressed hope that Easter would inspire a renewed sense of civic responsibility among Nigerians.
“We hope that the season of renewal will inspire Nigerians to deepen their sense of responsibility toward one another and strengthen their commitment to serving the nation with dedication and integrity.
We also pray that the Easter celebration would bring peace, harmony, and fulfillment to the lives of all Nigerians,” he concluded.
