Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has called on residents across Kogi State to participate in the voter card revalidation exercise launched by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
She stressed that updating voter information is essential to safeguard citizens’ voting rights and ensure full participation in upcoming elections.
In an Easter message released on Sunday, April 5, 2026, the senator extended greetings to Christians in Kogi Central and across the state, describing the season as one of sacrifice, renewal, and hope.
She also urged citizens to uphold unity and peaceful coexistence, linking civic responsibility with societal harmony.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan encouraged eligible voters to revalidate their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) through online platforms or at designated physical centers, highlighting the exercise as a key instrument for influencing governance.
She also called on community leaders, youth groups, and civil society organizations to intensify awareness campaigns, especially in rural areas where voter education is limited.
According to INEC, the nationwide voter revalidation exercise was scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13, 2026, and run through May 19, 2026, as part of preparations for forthcoming elections.
