Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor reshuffle in his cabinet, redeploying the Commissioner for Works, Felix Akhabue, to the Ministry of Water Resources.
The Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, disclosed the development in a statement on Monday, noting that the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works will oversee the ministry’s affairs until a new commissioner is appointed.
“The Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the redeployment of the Commissioner for Works, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, from the Ministry of Works to the Ministry of Water Resources,” the statement read.

It added, “Consequently, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works is to take over pending the deployment of a new Commissioner to the Ministry. This directive takes immediate effect.”
The move follows a previous minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council approved by Governor Okpebholo in January.
Umar Ikhilor further stated, “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor reshuffle in the Edo State Executive Council.”
