Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo on Friday, January 30, 2026, surprised three Government House staff with brand-new luxury SUVs to recognise their outstanding dedication and professionalism.
The governor personally observed the staff’s performance over several weeks before deciding on the reward, deliberately delaying the announcement to ensure their commitment was consistent.
Speaking at the Government House ceremony, Okpebholo said the initiative underscores his administration’s focus on accountability, discipline, and excellence in public service.
“Today, I am rewarding staff who consistently go above and beyond in their duties,” he said. “This is to show that dedication and hard work will always be recognised.”

The three staff members were chosen for their exceptional contributions to the operations of Government House.
The governor emphasised that recognising high-performing employees sets a standard for merit-based recognition across Edo State’s civil service.
Senior aides and other civil servants attended the ceremony, which Okpebholo described as part of a broader effort to cultivate a culture of professionalism, diligence, and integrity within government institutions.
