Blord Embraces Sowore’s ‘Revolution Team’ After Kuje Release

Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, has declared himself a member of the “Revolution Team” after regaining freedom from detention at Kuje Prison in Abuja.

His remarks were captured in a video shared on Tuesday by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, where Blord recounted his experience in custody, his bail process, and expressed gratitude to those who stood by him.

In the video, Blord noted that despite having no prior relationship with Sowore, the activist stepped in on his behalf. “As a matter of fact, I have never met Omoyele Sowore in my life.

I have never communicated, I have never called him on the phone, but when he heard that I was being intimidated, he had to step in,” he said.

He further explained that his bail hearing, originally scheduled for April 27, was rescheduled following Sowore’s intervention. “As a matter of fact, I was in Kuje today. My bail hearing was set for the 27th.

Omoyele Sowore said, over his dead body, will that happen, and he did it as he said. He made sure the date was pushed forward,” Blord added.

Blord said he was already en route to Anambra State after his release but chose to delay his journey in order to personally thank Sowore.

“I am on my way to Anambra, my people are waiting for me, but I said even if I am going to miss my flight, I must come to Sowore to say thank you,” he stated.

He also disclosed that Sowore presented him with a symbolic gift, which he described as a sign of his inclusion in the movement.

“He gave me a gift, as you can see, he gave me a beret. I am among the revolution team now.”

The “Revolution Team” is commonly associated with the #RevolutionNow movement led by Sowore, a campaign focused on mobilising citizens against corruption, insecurity, and governance challenges.

Blord had been held at Kuje Prison following his arraignment before the Federal High Court in Abuja on allegations of impersonation and forgery, tied to the alleged use of the image of activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

The conflict between the two figures dates back to October 2025, when Blord promoted what he described as an “iPhone XR converted to an iPhone 17 Pro Max,” a claim that sparked backlash and accusations of deceptive business conduct.

In addition, Blord had previously faced separate allegations in 2024 related to cryptocurrency fraud and breaches of regulatory guidelines.
