The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, has reassured party members of its full participation in the 2027 general elections, dismissing fears arising from ongoing legal challenges.
Mark gave the assurance on Wednesday night after receiving a detailed briefing from the party’s legal team on a recent ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
He expressed strong confidence that the party would emerge victorious in all pending cases.
“You do not have anything to be afraid of regarding all the litigations before the party,” Mark stated. “I want to assure you that we shall triumph in all the cases, and we shall be on the ballot for every election.”
The former Senate President emphasized that the party remains fully committed to exhausting all legal avenues to secure its position.
According to him, the ADC is well-prepared to confront the challenges ahead within the framework of the law.

“We are more than ready for these cases and will do everything within the ambit of the law to surmount every situation,” he added, pledging to personally lead the party through the legal process.
Meanwhile, the party’s legal team has already taken decisive steps by filing an appeal against the court judgment, alongside an application for a stay of execution—moves that underscore the ADC’s determination to overturn the ruling.
Mark’s comments come at a crucial time as the party ramps up preparations for the 2027 elections, widely viewed as a defining moment for strengthening its political relevance.
Party insiders believe the chairman’s reassurance will bolster confidence among members and supporters, while reinforcing the ADC’s resolve to remain a formidable force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Earlier in the day, the legal team briefed Mark and other senior party officials on the implications of the court decision, outlining strategic steps aimed at navigating the legal hurdles ahead.
