Tinubu Arrives Kigali Ahead Of Africa CEO Forum

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th Africa CEO Forum, which begins on Thursday.

According to a State House press statement signed on Wednesday, May 13, by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President landed at the Kigali International Airport’s Presidential Wing, where he was received by senior Nigerian and Rwandan officials.

Those on ground to welcome him included Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, and Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu.

Other officials present were the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mohammed Mohammed, Nigeria’s Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ibrahim Zanna, and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare.

The Africa CEO Forum, founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), has grown into Africa’s leading annual platform for private sector leaders, investors, and policymakers.

This year’s edition is themed “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership,” with discussions centred on economic transformation, regional integration and cross-border investment.

At the forum, President Tinubu is expected to deliver a keynote address titled “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will highlight the outcomes of ongoing economic reforms and Nigeria’s policy direction.

He is also scheduled to hold a series of high-level bilateral meetings with African and global business leaders aimed at strengthening investment ties and economic cooperation.

The statement added that Tinubu will use the summit to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, deeper regional collaboration and private sector-driven development across the continent.
