Seyi Tinubu has urged celebrity businessman Pascal Okechukwu to remain hopeful after he failed to secure the All Progressives Congress ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.
The APC primary election was held on Saturday as part of preparations for the 2027 general election.
Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest and the Imo State coordinator of the City Boy Movement, had contested for the House of Representatives ticket under the APC after purchasing the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.

He previously said his ambition was driven by youth empowerment, grassroots development and the need to encourage greater political participation among young people in the constituency.
However, he was unsuccessful in securing the party’s ticket.
Reacting on Sunday through his Instagram story, Tinubu, who serves as Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, encouraged the nightlife entrepreneur not to be discouraged by the setback.
“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote.
