Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, has called for sustained national support for the Armed Forces as troops continue operations against insurgency, terrorism, banditry and other security threats across the country.
The Defence Minister made the call while receiving Lazarus Muoka, General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
General Musa said the fight against insecurity requires a collective national effort, noting that prayers and encouragement from religious organisations continue to strengthen the morale of troops deployed in different theatres of operation nationwide.
He commended Pastor Muoka and members of the church for their consistent support and prayers for the nation’s security institutions, while reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting citizens.
The minister further urged religious leaders to continue promoting peace, patriotism, unity and national cohesion, stressing that faith-based organisations have a vital role to play in supporting national security and social stability.

In his remarks, Pastor Muoka assured the Federal Government and the Armed Forces of the church’s continued support and prayers. He offered prayers for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to grant the President wisdom, strength, good health and the ability to lead the country toward peace, stability and economic prosperity.
The cleric also prayed for divine protection and victory for Nigerian troops in their ongoing operations against criminal elements across the country.
The visit featured the exchange of souvenirs and reaffirmed the commitment of both the Ministry of Defence and the Christian community to continued collaboration in advancing national peace, unity and security.
