Nigeria Beat Senegal 3:0 As Oshoala, Omewa Shine In Dominant Victory

Nigeria’s Super Falcons continued their impressive preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a commanding 3-0 victory over the Senegalese women’s national team on Monday.

The nine-time African champions produced a clinical performance to complete a double-header sweep of Senegal on home soil, having secured a 2-1 win in the first international friendly just days earlier.

After a goalless first half, Nigeria broke the deadlock four minutes into the second period through Joy Omewa, who finished brilliantly in the 49th minute. The forward doubled the advantage seven minutes later, netting her second goal of the encounter in the 56th minute to put the Falcons firmly in control.

Veteran striker Asisat Oshoala added further gloss to the scoreline in the 66th minute, calmly finding the back of the net to seal an emphatic victory for the hosts.
