Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stirred reactions on social media after revealing that she burned the outfit she wore to the burial of late actor Alex Ekubo.
The actress shared a video on her Instagram Story on Sunday showing the outfit being set ablaze, explaining that the action was based on advice from her godmother.
“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial, my Godmother said is not good to have the cloth you wore to a burial around you, you burn them.

So family and friends take note, I felt I should share this information. May the Lord keep and bless us with long life, amen,” she wrote.
The post comes just days after Ekubo was laid to rest in his hometown of Ujari, Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State.
Angela’s revelation has since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users describing the practice as a cultural and spiritual belief, while others questioned its necessity.
The actress prayed for long life and protection for her followers, saying she shared the information for awareness.
