Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Minister GUC, has shared a personal testimony of how he recovered from a serious eye condition that temporarily left him blind in one eye, describing the experience as a life-changing reminder of God’s mercy.
The singer disclosed this in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he revealed that he lost sight in his right eye for two weeks while preparing for his Revealed gospel concert in Zimbabwe.
According to GUC, the unexpected health challenge was a deeply troubling experience, as he feared he could permanently lose his vision. However, he said he believes God intervened, restored his sight and healed him from what could have resulted in blindness.
Reflecting on the ordeal, the gospel minister said the experience transformed his perspective on life, teaching him not to take good health for granted.
He explained that the incident also inspired his worship song, Can’t Live Without You, describing it as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and sustaining grace.
The singer said the experience strengthened his faith and deepened his dependence on God, adding that he now appreciates the gift of sight and the simple details of everyday life more than ever before.

Sharing the testimony, he wrote: “God healed me from possible blindness, and I’m here to say truly I can’t live without God. I am still here, and I am still seeing, and it’s all because of the mercies of God.
“I look at the world differently now; every frame I compose and every detail I focus on is filtered through the memory of that moment when it almost vanished.
“It was sobering, a humbling reminder that the clarity we often take for granted is a tremendous gift, one I am holding on to with a much tighter, more grateful grip than ever before.
“This is one of my testimonies that gave rise to this sound, Can’t Live Without You. Truly, there’s no me without God.”
Minister GUC’s Revealed concert series has been held in several countries, attracting thousands of worshippers across different nations.
Following his testimony, fans, colleagues and fellow gospel ministers flooded the comment section of his post with messages of gratitude to God, prayers and congratulatory remarks, celebrating what they described as a miraculous healing.
