President Bola Tinubu has approved a fresh round of appointments across key federal agencies and commissions, naming Major General Junaid Bindawa as Chairman of the National Salary and Wages Commission.
In a statement issued by the Presidency, the President also approved the appointment of eight additional officials into the commission. Former House of Representatives member from Lagos, Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas, was named Secretary of the commission.
Also appointed as commissioners are Dr Ogbole Ene Lilian (Benue), Oladele Olatubosun (Oyo) and Yakubu Umar Barde (Kaduna). Other members of the commission include Dr Mai Adamu Yau (Borno), Ginika Florence Tor (Enugu), Engineer Lawrence Okoh (Edo) and Bello Morenike Iyabode (Kogi).
The President further redeployed Tosin Johnson Adeyanju, the former Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, to serve as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission.
Tinubu also approved the appointment of Dr Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission, Dr Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc, Dr Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, and Engineer Julius Oloro as Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM).
According to the Presidency, Oloro, a former local government council chairman, replaces Dr A.R. Kamal, who died in January.

The President also constituted the board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission with Dr Abdullahi Maikano Saidu appointed as chairman. Other members of the board are Mohammed Asmau, Mohammed Aliyu Makama, Dr Suleiman Gidado, Louis O. Ndukwe, Amaechi Ugwele and Olaniyi Idowu Onikola.
In addition, Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, replacing Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, who was reassigned to the Petroleum Trust Development Fund in April.
Tinubu also named Gisaor Vincent Iorja as Executive Director (Finance) of the Federal Housing Authority, succeeding Mathias Byuan, who resigned to pursue the Benue State governorship.
The Presidency said all the appointments take immediate effect.
