The family of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has announced her burial arrangements, with the actress scheduled to be laid to rest on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Ogun State.
A notice shared on her official Instagram page on Friday, August 7, 2026, stated that the funeral service would hold at Saint James Anglican Church, Iperu Remo. The family also requested that mourners wear white as a mark of honour and remembrance.
The announcement came after colleagues and friends unveiled plans for a candlelight and artiste night in her memory. The tribute event, themed “An Evening of Love, Music & Memories,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, at LTV 8, Blueroof, Ikeja, Lagos.
Osoba’s death was announced on Wednesday by actor Alesh Sanni, who described her as his “dearest sister”. She was 40.

The actress, known for her roles in Yoruba-language Nollywood productions, had publicly shared her battle with cancer before announcing her return to acting in August 2025 after undergoing treatment.
Her openness about her health journey earned support from fans and colleagues, while she also used her experience to encourage awareness and resilience among those facing similar challenges.
Osoba had previously spoken about personal losses in her life, including the death of her mother at the age of 34 and her father at 40.
Following her passing, her family urged the public to disregard speculation about the circumstances surrounding her death and appealed for privacy as they mourned.
