Troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have rescued a 16-year-old boy believed to have been kidnapped in Kaduna State.
According to intelligence sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagagola Magama on Wednesday, the victim, identified as Master Uche Chibuke, was rescued on Sept. 1 at Kurmin Goro, Sanga area.
It was gathered that the victim was abducted on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, while returning from a graduation ceremony at Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya.
He was reportedly travelling towards Onitsha when his abductors abandoned him after sighting troops in the area.

The troops subsequently secured the victim and took him to safety.
The military said investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his abduction and identify those responsible.
The army added that efforts are ongoing to reunite the rescued teenager with his family.
