Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, who passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, after a prolonged illness.
The actress shared the sad news on her Instagram page on Monday, October 19, expressing grief over the loss of her beloved mother in an emotional tribute. .
“With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator on October 18 after a long battle with illness,” she wrote.
Adunni said her mother is survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones, who will continue to cherish her memory.

The actress also prayed for Allah’s mercy upon her late mother, asking Him to forgive her shortcomings, make her grave spacious and fill it with light, while granting her Al-Jannah Firdaus.

In a heartfelt farewell, the actress wrote: “Mum, I love you. May Allah grant you eternal peace and reunite us in Jannah. Ameen.”
Adunni added that details of the funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.
