Adunni Ade Reveals Daughter She Kept Out of the Public Eye for Over Two Years

Popular Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has publicly introduced her daughter for the first time, revealing that she had deliberately kept the child away from the spotlight for more than two years.

The actress made the announcement in an emotional post shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, coinciding with her birthday celebration.

In the lengthy message, Adunni opened up about the challenges and personal sacrifices that accompanied her journey to motherhood, describing it as a deeply private chapter of her life that she chose to protect from public scrutiny.

“Today, on my birthday, I’m finally sharing what we’ve protected for over two years,” she wrote.

According to the actress, the decision to keep her daughter out of the public eye was intentional, as she and her partner wanted to enjoy the blessing in peace without external attention.

“We chose privacy. Not because we owed anyone secrecy but because peace is priceless, and not everything good needs an audience. We wanted to enjoy our blessing,” she stated.

Adunni also addressed speculation that had surrounded her personal life, dismissing narratives suggesting that her relationship was linked to controversy.

“Not every single mother fits your assumptions. Not every story is scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached.

God gave me mine. Fully. Peacefully. Intentionally. Not ‘another woman’s man’, all in the name of clicks,” she wrote.

The actress revealed that after a journey spanning nearly a decade, she and her partner were blessed with their first child together, a baby girl whom she described as an answered prayer and a testament to God’s perfect timing.

Reflecting on the distinction between her public and private life, Adunni noted that while fans may know the actress seen on screen and social media, her life away from the spotlight remains deeply personal.

“Adunni Ade online is one thing. Adunni Adewale at home is something you may never fully understand and that’s okay,” she added.

She concluded the post by thanking fans, friends and well-wishers who have supported her through prayers and genuine love, while wishing them similar blessings in their own lives.

The revelation has since generated reactions across social media, with fans and colleagues congratulating the actress on her birthday and celebrating the introduction of her daughter to the public.
