Before leaving Abuja, the President is scheduled to inaugurate equipment acquired by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for its operations. The ceremony will take place at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria next week after completing the pilgrimage. The Presidency did not disclose the specific equipment to be commissioned or his exact return date.

The trip follows the President’s November 2023 visit to Makkah, where he performed Umrah after attending the Saudi-African Summit in Riyadh.
