President Muhammadu Buhari is now expected to sign the re-worked Electoral Act Amendment Bill on Friday, February 25.
According to a source close to the Presidency, which spoke to Channels Television, Buhari will give his assent to the bill this time.
The source had earlier said that the President would assent to the bill on Wednesday (today).
According to the source, the new date will be honoured by the President.
There have been concerns over Buhari’s delay in giving his assent to the bill after the National Assembly reworked and retransmitted it to him over three weeks ago.
