Former Real Madrid striker Gareth Bale will make a continental move to the United States Major League Soccer (MLS) after agreeing to join MLS side Los Angeles FC (LAFC) on a one-year deal.
The 32 year-old striker confirmed the move on his social media pages with a video of him in a LAFC cap and a caption, “See you soon, Los Angeles”.
Bale, who helped his country Wales to qualify fie their first World Cup in 64 years, joins other European stars like Giorgio Chiellini, Lorenzo Insigne and Xherdan Shaqiri, in the MLS.
He joined Real Madrid from Tottenham for £85.1m in 2013, a world record fee at that time.
