Bayern Munich are asking Barcelona to pay €50m if they want to buy striker Lewandowski according to reports.
Bayern had earlier last week rejected the €40m offer made by Barcelona saying the striker was not on sale as his contract expires June 2023.
Lewandowski told his club at the end of last season regarding his future that he is looking for a new challenge and not motivated by financial motive.
In an interview with Amazon Prime, Bayern chief executive officeer Oliver Kahn said, “We would be stupid to sell a player who scores 30 to 40 goals per season”.
“He has a contract until June 2023 and we’ll definitely have him with us for another season”.
Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich from in 2014 and has scored 344 goals in all competitions for the club, winning eight titles in the last eight seasons.
