The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has said the party’s ultimate goal is to build a political institution “bigger than any personality, stronger than any moment, and positively different from any party in the annals of our country.”
Mark made the statement during the ADC National Working Committee (NWC) meeting on Tuesday, October 7, in Abuja, where he outlined the party’s vision for a values-driven, transparent, and people-oriented political movement.
He said the ADC was determined to distinguish itself from traditional political parties by prioritising integrity, accountability, and competence over personal ambition or impulse-driven leadership.
“We begin with a conviction that Nigeria can, and will, work for everyone — and with a commitment to build a party bigger than any personality, stronger than any moment, and positively different from any party in the annals of our country,” Mark stated.

He explained that the ADC’s leadership model would be anchored on four core pillars — character, competence, courage, and discipline — which, according to him, would guide decision-making and ensure good governance at all levels.
Mark added that the ADC would adopt what he called an “integrity and performance compact,” committing to open party audits, transparent procurement, merit-based appointments, and clean elections.
He said every ADC-led government would prioritise citizens’ welfare through service charters, digital transparency, and measurable performance scorecards.
Mark further pledged that the party would defend democratic institutions, promote judicial independence, and restore trust in governance, saying Nigerians deserve results, not slogans.
“Our duty is to prove that governance can be clean, effective, and people-centred,” he concluded.
