The African Democratic Congress (ADC) today, January 8, 2026, launched its Constitution Review Panel, promising reforms aimed at strengthening internal governance, transparency, and party structures.
The 22-member committee, chaired by Barrister Etigwe Uwa, SAN, is tasked with reviewing the party constitution, improving dispute resolution mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with Nigeria’s electoral laws.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sen. David A. B. Mark, GCON, said the exercise reflects ADC’s determination to align its operations with global best practices and ensure that the party’s constitution promotes unity, accountability, and effective leadership.
The committee is expected to submit its recommendations to the National Executive Council, providing a framework to strengthen ADC’s internal governance and enhance the party’s capacity to operate effectively within Nigeria’s democratic system.
