The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has expressed strong concerns over the prospect of Nigerians continuing under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Abdullahi made the remarks on Friday, the 16th of January, 2026, while answering questions during an interview on Politics Today, aired on Channels Television.
According to him, “The possibility of Nigerians having to continue with what the current APC government is doing under President Bola Tinubu is too scary to contemplate.’
He also reflected on the growth and resilience of the ADC, noting, “The years 2025 was a very good one for the ADC family. When we started in July last year, many people thought we won’t go far. The ruling party itself dismissed us.

“They said the coalition will collapse before anyone would know it but seven months after, in 2026, here we are getting stronger than before.
“I’m very confident that if you gather political scientists to study the trajectory of political party development they will probably tell you that ADC has one of the fastest growth in Nigeria political history.”
Abdullahi’s comments come amid ongoing political realignments and growing public debate over governance, opposition strength, and the future of Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
