Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has been honoured with a street named after him in Lagos.
The Father of one shared the emotional moment on Instagram, uploading a video from the unveiling event.
In the footage, Adekunle Gold appeared with his wife, Simi, and their daughter, Deja, as they unveiled the signpost inscribed with his full name, “Adekunle Kosoko Street.”

Sharing his excitement, the fantastic singerwrote:
“Adekunle Kosoko Street. The city that raised me now carries my name. Thank you, Lord, for my many blessings.”
The gesture holds deep meaning for the singer, whose roots lie in the Kosoko royal family of Lagos Island. He is a descendant of Oba Kosoko, the 19th-century monarch who ruled Lagos from 1845 to 1851.
