President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the postponement of the 2023 Population and Housing Census to a date to be determined by the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The exercise was earlier scheduled for May 3 to 7 2023.
President Buhari gave the approval for the postponement after meeting with some members of the Federal Executive Council and the Chairman of the National Population Commission and his team at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, April 28, 2023.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, stated this contained in a press statement released on Saturday morning.
