A Nigerian Army has arrested another soldier working with terrorists.
The arrested soldier is Iorliam Emmanuel, believed to be in his 30s and a native of Benue State.
Emmanuel is a soldier with the 156 Task Force Battalion (Operation Hadin Kai), In Mainok town.
The Kaga Local Government Area’s administrative center is located at Mainok, 60 kilometers from Maiduguri, the state’s capital.
Emmanuel was discovered in possession of ammunition that was hidden in a sack and bound around his waist.
Colleagues are seen revealing the bullets the suspect concealed inside and beneath his clothes in a trending video.
He will likely go before a court martial for smuggling weapons to terrorist gangs.
Recall that a soldier also supporting the West African Province of Boko Haram/Islamic State, was also recently uncovered by the army.
According to the Army instructor, Lance Corporal Jibrin killed himself while being brought to the barracks.
Jibrin was implicated in the April killings at certain recreation areas in Yobe State, according to intelligence.
Within five days, there were attacks in the towns of Geidam and Gashua, which resulted in the deaths of roughly ten persons.
