The outgoing Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, has handed over the command of the Nasarawa State Police to his successor, Adesina Shoyebi.
At a brief ceremony, the outgoing commissioner of police, who has recently been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General ( AIG ), handed over to Shoyebi.
The new police commissioner attended the University of Ife, where he obtained a Bsc in Geography, and later read Law at the National Open University of Nigeria.
According to him, he joined the police as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1988 and has worked in various capacity and attended training in Nigeria and abroad.
“I was CP Federal Operations at Force Headquarters, Abuja, before I was deployed in Nasarawa State and I am taking over from AIG Bola Longe, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and posted as AIG Operations at Force Headquarters, Abuja,” he said.
In his remarks, the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Longe, thanked the people of Nasarawa State, urging them to cooperate with the new commissioner and security agencies for sustained peace.
