Aina Features As Forest Lose 1-0 To Midtjylland In Europa Tie

Ola Aina was in action for Nottingham Forest as they suffered a slim 1–0 defeat to FC Midtjylland in their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 first-leg clash on Thursday night.

The encounter, played at Forest’s home ground, remained evenly balanced for most of the game before the visitors broke the deadlock late in the contest.

South Korean striker Cho Gue-sung netted the decisive goal in the 80th minute, firing home to hand the Danish side a crucial away victory.

Aina, who started the match at right-back for the Premier League side, was substituted two minutes after the goal in the 82nd minute as Forest searched for a response.

However, the hosts were unable to find an equaliser before the final whistle.

Despite the narrow defeat, Nottingham Forest will hope to overturn the deficit when both sides meet again in the return leg in Denmark.

The English side must secure a positive result away from home to keep their hopes of progressing in the Europa League alive.
