Ajibade Exposes ‘Kitchen-Size’ Room for Super Falcons, Blasts CAF

Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade has sparked outrage after revealing shocking accommodation conditions at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), calling out the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for housing players in what she described as a “kitchen-size” room.

Ajibade, who is known for her professionalism and fierce commitment to women’s football, posted a photo of the cramped room she was assigned to share with a teammate.

The photo showed a space barely large enough for two beds, with little to no space for movement or luggage. She captioned the photo with a damning message:

“Two professional women’s players in this kitchen-size room in a prestigious tournament (WAFCON)

The post, laced with frustration and disbelief, began with the exclamation “Omo!” — a Nigerian slang expression of shock — and ended with a sarcastic dig:

The message has since gone viral on social media, triggering heated reactions from fans, fellow athletes, and Nigerian football followers.

Many have condemned CAF for what they see as a blatant disregard for player welfare, especially in a tournament as prominent as WAFCON.

While the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has often faced its share of criticism over player treatment and administrative issues, Ajibade’s post ironically shifts some sympathy in their direction, painting CAF in an even worse light.
