Newly invited Super Eagles striker Akor Adams found the net as Sevilla delivered a stunning 4–1 victory over Barcelona in a Spanish La Liga clash on Sunday.
Sevilla took control early in the encounter when Sánchez A. converted from the penalty spot in the 13th minute to open the scoring.
The Andalusians doubled their advantage in the 36th minute through Romero I., who finished off a fine team move to make it 2–0.
Barcelona briefly revived hopes of a comeback after Marcus Rashford reduced the deficit with a close-range effort in the 45+7th minute, leaving the scoreline at 2–1 heading into halftime.

The Catalans had a golden opportunity to equalise in the 76th minute, but Robert Lewandowski squandered a penalty, firing wide to the disbelief of Barcelona fans.
Sevilla, however, refused to relent. Carmona I.A. restored their two-goal cushion in the 90th minute before Akor Adams sealed the emphatic win with a composed finish in stoppage time (90+6), assisted by fellow Nigerian Chidera Ejuke.
The victory marks a statement performance for Sevilla, while Adams’ goal adds to his growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s most promising forwards in Europe.
