Spanish football club UD Almería have pledged to hand over all revenue generated from ticket sales for their home fixture against CD Tenerife to the family of Jesús de Miguel.
The initiative, introduced by club president Mohammed Al Khereiji, is aimed at providing financial support to the bereaved family following their loss.
Announcing the gesture, the club expressed its condolences, acknowledging that financial assistance could never replace a loved one or erase the pain of such a tragedy.

As reported by ESPN on Wednesday, the club was quoted as saying, “We are fully aware that nothing can ever compensate for the loss of a loved one, and that no form of support, whether financial or emotional, can ease the pain caused by a tragedy of this kind.”
Although admitting that the donation could not undo the family’s loss, UD Almería expressed hope that the proceeds from the fixture would offer some relief during the difficult period.
The decision was taken under the leadership of Al Khereiji, who heads the Spanish club.
The development has also drawn attention to the club’s ownership structure, following Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo’s acquisition of a 25 per cent stake in UD Almería earlier this year.
