Legendary American comic actor and musician Martin Mull has passed away at the age of 80.
He died at his home in Los Angeles on the 27th of June, 2024.
His wife, Wendy Mull, confirmed his death on the 28th of June, 22024, stating that he died after a long illness, though no specific cause was provided.
Also, his daughter, TV writer and comic artist Maggie Mull, confirmed his passing.
“My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians, and —the sign of a truly exceptional person— by many, many dogs,” his daughter said in an Instagram post.
Melissa Joan Hart, Martin Mull’s co-star in the series “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” paid tribute to him on Instagram, describing him as “a wonderful man who I am better for knowing.”
The actor and funny act gained widespread attention in the 1970s through shows like “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” and “Fernwood 2-Night,” and he remained active in television and film for the next fifty years.
