The Anambra State Government has urged all eligible voters to come out in large numbers for the governorship election scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025.
In a press statement issued on Friday, November 7, the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, said active participation in the election was crucial to strengthening democracy and reversing the low turnout recorded in the 2021 poll.
He said, “The Anambra State Government calls on all eligible voters across the state to come out en masse and actively participate in the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025.
“Active participation in this election is particularly important to reverse the low voter turnout recorded during the 2021 governorship election, when only about 200,000 of the over 2.7 million registered voters exercised their franchise.
