Reports that soldiers shot and killed one person in Anambra has been refuted by police in the state.
Media reports earlier on Tuesday claimed that soldiers shot and killed one person at Ihiala Local Government Area.
According to the report, the said victim, a middle-aged man, yet to be identified, was shot dead during the Anambra State governorship supplementary election in Ihiala LGA.
The soldiers were said to be patrolling around the distribution/ Collation Centre at the Ihiala LGA headquarters.
However, the Zone 13 Police Headquarters Public Relations Officer, Nkeiru Nwode, when contacted by Daily Post, denied any knowledge of that.
