The All Progressives Congress National Integrity Movement (ANIM) has hailed the appointment of the Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello as the National Youth Coordinator for the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 campaign council.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the Coordinator of the Movement, Honourable Sadiq Fakai, said the appointment was a round peg in a round hole and stated that Governor Yahaya Bello deserved the appointment considering his political pedigree and acceptability among Nigerian Youth.
Fakai said that the group would join hands with Governor Bello to ensure the victory of Tinubu at the general election
He said, “The appointment of Bello as the National Youth Co-ordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential campaign council provides the other leg of the tripod on which the much-yearned inclusion of youth, fairness and equity are needed to stand.
“The appointment of Gov. Bello did not come to us as a surprise because he has shown capacity, sportsmanship and ability to bridge the gap between the young and elderly
“It will undoubtedly be on record that he has achieved a great feat by fighting doggedly for the entrenchment of fairness and the development of democracy and youth inclusiveness in all his affairs.
ANIM insisted they would mobilise youths accros Nigeria to give Bello the necessary support to succeed in his current position in the presidential campaign council
