Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has raised alarm over a fake Facebook account created in his name to scam unsuspecting individuals.
The lawmaker, representing Oyo South Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC), disclosed this in a statement released by his media office on Sunday, the 21st of September, 2025.
He cautioned residents of his constituency against engaging with the fraudster.
According to him, “We strongly advise the public not to engage in any transaction or communication with anyone on social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Messenger, or any other similar channels, claiming to represent Senator Alli.

“The Senator does not solicit funds, personal details, or business dealings through social media.
“Anyone who has information about the impostor is kindly urged to report to the nearest police station for necessary action.”
