Arsenal Go Top After West Ham Win as Chelsea Stun Liverpool

Arsenal climbed to the summit of the Premier League table on Saturday after defeating West Ham United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Declan Rice opened the scoring against his former club in the 38th minute before Bukayo Saka doubled the lead in the 67th minute to seal all three points for Mikel Arteta’s side.

The victory takes Arsenal to 16 points after matchday seven.

Elsewhere, Tottenham edged Leeds United 2-1 with Mohammed Kudus delivering a standout performance, scoring once and assisting the other.

At Old Trafford, Manchester United secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Mason Mount struck early in the 8th minute before Benjamin Šeško added a second in the 31st minute to give Erik ten Hag’s men a routine victory.

The biggest drama of the day unfolded at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea stunned Liverpool 2-1.

Moisés Caicedo fired the Blues ahead in the 14th minute, but Cody Gakpo restored parity for the Reds in the 67th.

Just when the match seemed destined for a draw, teenage sensation Estevão struck a dramatic winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time (90+5), sending the home fans into raptures.

The defeat leaves Liverpool heartbroken as they slip to second place on 15 points — just one behind leaders Arsenal.
