Arsenal Sink Bayern 3–1, Emerge as Strong Champions League Title Contenders

Arsenal strengthened their Champions League title credentials on Wednesday night with an impressive 3–1 victory over Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.

The Premier League side set the tone early, with Jurrien Timber breaking the deadlock in the 22nd minute.

The defender rose highest to nod home a well-delivered corner kick, giving the Gunners a deserved lead.

Bayern, however, responded swiftly. The Bundesliga champions drew level in the 32nd minute through Karl L., whose composed finish ensured both sides went into the break tied at 1–1.

Arsenal regained control in the second half, increasing their tempo and pushing Bayern deeper into their own half.

Their dominance paid off in the 69th minute when Noni Madueke fired home to restore the advantage for Mikel Arteta’s men.

The London club sealed the victory eight minutes later. Gabriel Martinelli rounded goalkeeper Manuel Neuer with calm precision before slotting into an empty net to make it 3–1.

The win keeps Arsenal unbeaten in this season’s Champions League and sees them sit atop their group with 15 points from five matches.

With their current form and commanding performances, the Gunners are emerging as one of the tournament’s strongest contenders.
