Fatai Odunsi, the father of Nigerian singer Asake, has made a heartfelt appeal for financial assistance as he battles a partial stroke.
In a now-viral video circulating on social media, Odunsi opened up about his deteriorating health and the challenges he has faced since the illness struck in March 2022. However, what has stirred emotions the most is his claim of being abandoned by his son, Asake.
Lamenting his situation, he expressed deep disappointment, stating that he has not set eyes on the music star since the onset of his illness. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, he alleged that his calls have gone unanswered.

In his desperate plea to Nigerians for support, he said:
“Good day everyone, I’m the one that gave birth to Ahmed Asake the singer.
“The last time I set my eyes on him was March 2022 when my sickness started. If I called Asake, he won’t pick. Please help me, it is your help that I need.”
His emotional outcry has since sparked widespread reactions, with many calling for intervention in the unfolding family crisis.
