Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has celebrated former Minister of Transportation and ex-Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on the occasion of his birthday.
Atiku, in a message posted on his X handle on Wednesday, described Amaechi as a brother and fellow patriot whose years of service and dedication to Nigeria continue to inspire many across the country.
The former Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate praised Amaechi’s courage, conviction, and contributions to governance and national development.
“Happy Birthday to my brother and fellow patriot, H.E. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, @ChibuikeAmaechi,” Atiku wrote.

Amaechi, a former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, served two terms as governor of Rivers State before becoming Minister of Transportation under the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
He has remained an influential figure in Nigeria’s political landscape and was among key opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
