Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated public affairs analyst and President of the Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, Chief Akin Malaolu, on his 70th birthday, praising his contributions to national discourse, democracy and good governance.
Atiku conveyed his goodwill message in a statement shared on his official X account on Sunday, describing Malaolu as a patriot whose interventions on national issues have consistently advanced Nigeria’s collective interest.
“On behalf of my family and associates, I celebrate Chief Akin Malaolu on his 70th birthday,” the former vice president said.
He commended Malaolu’s role as a respected public affairs analyst and leader of the Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, noting that he has remained a consistent voice on issues of national development.
“As a public affairs analyst and the President of the Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum (YRLF), a socio-political group, you have continually enriched public discourse on how to advance our national interest,” Atiku stated.
The former Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate further praised the septuagenarian for placing Nigeria’s unity and progress above sectional interests.
“As a patriot, you have allowed yourself to be guided by national rather than sectional interest for the greater good of Nigerians,” he added.
Atiku prayed for continued strength and wisdom for Malaolu, expressing hope that the next phase of his life would be marked by greater service to democracy and national development.
“It is my prayer that the next chapter of your life will be marked by even greater commitment and service to the cause of democracy and good governance,” he said.
Chief Malaolu is the President of the Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, a socio-political organisation known for its interventions on national issues, constitutional reform, governance and democratic development.
